Prior to BlueOSS, Tim served as Vice President at Votela, a leading distributor for Siemens’ OpenScape Cloud Services and a specialized carrier providing voice and unified communications in the cloud. There, he oversaw the company’s day-to-day operations, channel development and channel sales. Prior to Votela, Tim was Director of Sales at Force 3, a leading provider of information technology solutions and support services to the Federal government. At Force 3, he was responsible for building and growing Force 3 Systems, a new entity serving the Washington/Baltimore metro area. As Director of Sales, for the new entity, he generated $20 million sales during the course of his leadership.
Mike Sanders is a seasoned technology professional focused on indirect tax. As Chief Product Architect for SureTax®, Mike provides the product vision for SureTax® Telecom and the other products in SureTax’s portfolio of calculation solutions. Mike has over 20 years of experience in senior positions developing client solutions at providers including Thomson Reuters and Tax Partners.
Mike is a highly sought after speaker, most recently speaking at TeleStrategies Communications Taxation 2014. He holds a BBA from Mississippi State University in Business Information Systems.
Samantha will be providing clients, and prospects alike, her perspective on Telecommunications industry challenges. She will impart GSA’s Best Practices approach to streamlined integration, which involves unification of disparate Operational Support System architecture with the help of GSA’s custom integration partner, Blue Hat Services (a leading custom CRM and API specialty group). She will also have the assistance of our internal: Wholesale and CLEC; Wireless and Lifeline; IXC and CABS, consultants, to enable our clients to successfully manage current and future demands of the industry.
Samantha received her Bachelors of Science, with a minor in Economics, from the University of North Georgia, (The Military College of Georgia) and went on to acquire her BBA in Accounting, with a minor in Finance as well. Her experience and certification as a CMI – Sales & Use Tax from the Institute of Professionals in Taxation, display her dedication to understanding her area of expertise, and the industry has responded to her.
Samantha is routinely invited to speak, with her most recent presentations at CompTel, Telestrategies, and RIA user conferences on important issues like Federal USF rules, Managing Telecommunications Exemptions, and Transaction Tax Outsourcing. These are particular areas of foundational success within GSA. Samantha is the Foundations Committee Chair for the UNG Young Alumni Board and is an active member of (WICT) Women in Cable Telecommunications and (IPT) Institute for Professionals in Taxations. Samantha will be leading the Telecommunications tax instruction, for the upcoming 2015 session, at Georgia Tech. She will be leading on behalf of the IPT.
Matthew LaHood has been involved in implementing network and facilities security standards for Fortune 500 to midsize companies. He specializes in multi-tenant facilities and mission critical facilities. Mr. LaHood served as the Vice President of E-Commerce for a large retail systems software company. While at the retail systems software company, Mr. LaHood managed a large Help Desk department for IT.
Mr. LaHood is highly regarded in the telecommunications industy with expertise on OSS Best Practices; government compliance and telecommunications efficiency through newtwork design and management strategies developed over the past 10 years. Mr. LaHood earned his B.S. in Business Marketing from Illinois State University.
